Favourite Favours From Around the Web

Pretty in pink sugar treats packaged in cute bakery boxes. Love it when there's extra detail on the inside of the box - like this printed vellum lining. This sweet idea from Martha Stewart Weddings can be found here.

Amazing. Glitter, gold and basketweave. Image found on The Sweetest Occasion.

Lace ribbon lends a romantic, vintage feel to this macaron packaging from Style Me Pretty.

These paper flower cones could not be more fun! Tutorial found on one of my absolute favourite DIY sites, Oh Happy Day.

DIY Favour Box in the Perfect Colour

Picking the colour palette for your wedding is a crazy amount of fun. Perusing Pinterest and wedding blogs and creating your own mood boards at work at home with a big cup of coffee – well, nothing beats that. And the colour schemes I’m seeing, like mint, gold, peach and emerald, are pretty pretty pretty.

Store bought favour boxes usually come in standard colours, and you may not find favour packaging that matches your gorgeous colour scheme. But, you’ll likely find the perfect shade of cardstock at your local scrapbooking store, and that leads to a myriad of possibilities – like making your own favour boxes. Once you get used to making a few, it really is super super easy to do the rest (each one of these takes me about 5 minutes).

I picked up 4 shades of pink cardstock from the scrapbooking store to create these ombre boxes that were featured on Wedding Chicks.

Favourite Favours from Martha Stewart Weddings

My collection of Martha Stewart Weddings magazines dates back to 2001 and they have been a constant source of inspiration. They design the best DIY projects, and their favour packaging ideas are nothing short of amazing. Here is a selection of some of my favourite favours they've featured over the years.

Patterned paper slipped into cellophane bags lend a whimsical touch to these candy favours.  Image found here.

A dusting of glitter turns these cube favour boxes into something rather magical. Image found here.

A paper wrap is always elegant, but even more so with this pretty fold. Image found here

Tea and cookies are one of my favourite favourite things ever. When in doubt, find some gorgeous wrapping paper to package your favour, like they did here
