When I was a kid, I loved making paper snowflakes – the surprise you get when you unfold the paper and see something totally unique and pretty was the best part. Recently, I realized that those paper snowflakes bare a resemblance to lace, and thought I’d see if I could repurpose the technique for packaging favors.
Here, I used the same technique for making snowflakes, except on tissue paper and created a wrap. It's perfect for packaging a 2” cube favor box or a mini mason jar. An edge craft punch and hole punch were used to create this delicate pattern. (And, bonus: the pattern stays consistent each time, and no precise scissor skills necessary)
Below, the paper lace wrap paired on a winter-inspired tablescape. Big thanks to Johanna at Celsia Florist for styling the centerpiece!
