Colour Palette: Granny Smith Apple & Gold

What's amazing about colour spectrum is that, depending on the shade, it can evoke a completely different tone. Take green for instance. On one end, there's soft and romantic mint, and on the other end, there's emerald, which is about as glam as it gets.

Each week, I will be revisiting an old DIY, but done up in a completely different colour palette to show the different 'moods' of the projects. And with Saint Patrick's Day coming up, it was fitting to choose green this week.

First up, favour bags inspired by classic button-and-string envelopes, styled in a palette of fresh, crisp green (just like the apple) and glittering gold.

To make the glitter hearts, use a craft punch on gold glitter cardstock, available at Michaels.

This project first appeared when we were featured on Style Me Pretty for Valentine's Day. Click here for the step-by-step tutorial. And check back later this week for a brand new DIY done up in emerald, Pantone's 2013 Colour of the Year.
