This week's palette of various off-whites, done on one of my favourite projects, The Mille Feuille Rose, is as sophisticated as it is classic. Finished with Midori's elegant "Merci" double-face satin ribbon, this favour is perfectly at home with gold chargers and champagne flutes. Click here for the step-by-step.
Side story: I made this favour packaging specifically for WedLuxe Magazine for an ethereal editorial story featuring a palette of ivory and grey. It was the first time Tulle Box Designs was going to be featured, and I needed it to be perfect. I searched high and low to find the right shade of tissue paper to make the flower. I couldn't find any off-white tissue paper, let alone the perfect shade.
By chance, I was out buying plates, and the paper they were using to package the plates was not only off-white, but also the exact shade I had in my mind. Moral of the story - with a little creativity, you can turn anything into something pretty. Even something as unglamorous as dinnerware protectors.
