DIY - Mother's Day Floral Treat Bags

Today's garden party-esque DIY is perfect for packaging Mom's favourite sweets. This project was actually inspired by my grandparents because growing up, I always had tea and cookies at their house. And since they loved roses and the classic Peek Freans cookies, I based this project around those two elements.

These patterned treat bags are actually just plain paper bags with floral paper cutouts glued onto them. Here, I cut out flowers from a scrapbooking sheet that looked a bit like wallpaper one might find at grandma's house.

DIY Floral Treat Bags

Materials

  • Floral scrapbooking or wrapping paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Treat bags

Step 1  -  Cut out flowers from the paper

Step 2 - Glue floral cutouts onto the bag. (Tip: Wrap some of the edges of the flowers around the fold of the bag for a 'printed-directly-onto-the-bag' effect)

And on a completely unrelated note - is it just me or did anyone else eat all the cookie part first on those Peek Freans Fruit Creme cookies and save the sugary fruit jelly last?
