Faux Glitter Dipped Favour Tags

If you take a look at the DIY page, you'll notice that there are more than a few projects using gold glitter cardstock. It's my latest obsession because while I love glitter, I don't love the mess it creates. Here is a DIY project that has the look of glitter dipped, but it's totally mess-free, and much easier to do. Read on to see the how-to.

I used a 3" circle craft punch to make these over-sized favour tags and tied them to pretty kraft favour boxes from Shop Sweet Lulu.

Bonus: If you use a 3.5" circle punch, these can also double as fun coasters.

Materials

  • Cardstock
  • Glitter cardstock  *
  • Circle craft punch (I used a 3" one here)
  • Rubber stamp
  • Ink pad
  • Glue
  • Hole punch

*There are 2 types of glitter cardstock at Michaels. This is the one that has a completely smooth texture and packaged in a plastic sleeve.

Step 1  - Punch out a circle from the cardstock.

Step 2  - Punch out just a fraction of the circle from the glitter cardstock.

Step 3  - Glue the glitter partial circle onto the full circle.

Step 4  - Stamp.

Step 5  - Punch a hole at the top.
